Rocky Nook is an independent publishing company that produces books on a wide range of creative topics including photography, drawing, painting, sewing, and more.
Creative Brief:
The client desired various promotional materials consisting of web banner ads and print-ready BLADs (Book Layout and Design) which are used as a selling tool for a forthcoming book to persuade book dealers and bookstores to stock their products. All images and copy were provided by the client.
Process:
To create cohesive promotional materials, the existing brand style was adhered to and the photography BLADs shared a template structure comprised of table of contents, introduction, sample pages, author and detailed book information. Each BLAD was designed to highlight the photography with a simple, neutral background. Careful consideration was given to the typography to make text-heavy pages visually appealing and the information easily digestible.
Various digital banner ads were created for paid advertisements, product promotions and holiday sales. Each ad design supported the art direction of the online campaign.
